Hi, I'm new here, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have a 2388 and raise popcorn. This years crop did not finish well here in WKY. Some fair size ears and some really small "nubbins" and some places with no ears at all.
I'm afraid it is going to be hard to set the combine so that I'm not leaving to much grain on the cobs, without having excessive damage and cracked popcorn kernels. Right now I'm running the concaves on 1.8, fan on 980 and rotor speed at 410. I sent two loads off last night, and I'll get the results later this morning. Any tips on decreasing damage without sacrificing yield loss?
Thanks, Brian Lynn
