have a question for you folks, working with 3 manufactures, would like two same tractors and tillage, would like to chip one, have tractors work together for one day, full of fuel in morn, fill at night, see if its bull or real, tractors have to be out of warranty, don't need that headache, my email is in profile, scott.

my question is, why chip the tractor when you can go to the original manufacturer of the engine and get them to change the ecm control specs to the safe allowable horsepower limit for that specific motor. Did this with our stx 375 with the cummins in it and it only cost me $270. They took the serial number off the engine and ran the codes to see what that motor was designed for and bumped it up to 440 hp with no worries. Chips are a wonderful technology, but they can't tell me if I've got the correct bearings, pistons, injectors, pump, etc... to handle the load that the chip will put out.

yes it can be done, used to be able to do this, cummins knows if theres a issue, if its out of warranty, its your money, where ya from, have heard they will do this up in canada, not possible now, trucks yes, not sayng cummins can't do it but it is cummins ONLY, they have the resourses, just like going to cat, yes it can be done, you have a valid point, if its under warranty cummins won't touch it, too many headaches, this is why i posted on chips, won't leave a footprint that cummins can't see, scott.
